Monica's Poem

For the loved ones we can not find

We have a bond that will forever bind

We wonder how we will survive

We wonder if they are still alive

We carry them with us in our hearts

The thought of them will never part

We think to ourselves how can this be?

Why a member of our family?

So we stand together now to say

We will not take this another day

We will not be quiet or stand down

We are here to say this right now

Everyday we will pray and fight

So all mothers can sleep at night

A Prayer for Monica

Dear Lord help me find my sister.

If roses grow in heaven, Lord please pick a bunch for her to see,

place them in my sister's arms and tell her they're from me.

Tell her that I love her and miss her, and when she turns to smile,

place a kiss upon her cheek, and hold her for a while.

Because remembering her is easy, I do it every day,

but there's an ache within my heart that will never go away
